Theclub owner is King Power International Group and the chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. Claudio Ranieri manages the team and has achieved almost god-like status as result of his stunning top flight success this year.

History
Leicester City FC was formed in 1884 by a group of old boys who studied at Wyggeston School and it was back in 1890 when the club joined the Football Association.

It is worth noting down that the club played in four different grounds before moving to Filbert Street. The club was elected in Division 2 back in 1894 after finishing second. The same year they achieved their largest win which was an impressive 13-0 victory against Notts Olympic.

The club gained promotion to Division 1 in the 1907-08 season after finishing second with 52 points behind Bolton on 54. They were however relegated after one season in Division 1, recording their biggest loss ever in the process, a 12-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.

The club changed its name to Leicester City FC after they were given city status.

The club was sold to the Asian Football Investments Thai-led Consortium in August 2010. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha fronted the club as the chairman. Leicester were promoted to the English top flight football through the guidance of Nigel Pearson after they finished sixth in the Championship.

The appointment of former Chelsea boss, Claudio Ranieri was the big moment that shaped Leicester City’s 2015-16 Premier League win. Jamie Vardy’s staggering achievement of scoring 13 goals in 11 consecutive games, broke the premier league record for consecutive goals scored by a single player. They also qualified for the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history through their ability, guidance of their manager and unique team spirit.
